What To Wear

For your best on-camera appearance, follow these guidelines:

  • Solid shades of blue and gray bring out a healthy skin tone onscreen and are not a distraction
  • Busy patterns and plaids draw attention away from your message
  • Black and white clothing enhances skin tones on a television monitor
  • Avoid sharp contrasts between your skin tone and clothing color
  • Do not dress in clothes that match either your skin and hair colors, this washes out skin tone
  • Avoid bright and bold red, green, and orange as these colors cause a hue that is distracting to the viewer
